The event became extremely competitive this year as it took place at the Algarve MotorPark for the first time, with competitors’ adrenaline in full flow during their five lap race at the new racetrack.

All drivers, from all over Europe (Portugal, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and England), displayed great camaraderie, enthusiasm and a will to win the event, which had several racing stages throughout the weekend.

Exhibiting classic stunners, such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, Aston Martin and Ferrari, the competitors travelled about two hundred kilometres around six Algarvean councils.

According to Luís Brito, from the Algarve Classic Cars organisation, “this year’s event was a true challenge because participants had the opportunity to drive a demanding and varied route. We combined the usual road stages with the classifications at the AIA (Algarve MotorPark) and the Almancil Karting, much to the drivers’ delight.”
