The Allgarve' 10 programme, which was launched recently, features a number of highlights that will interest people of all tastes.

Sports fans will have the opportunity to attend events including the Vodafone Rally of Portugal from 27 to 30 May and the Portugal Masters golf tournament between 14 and 17 October.

There will also be plenty to interest music fans, with British singer and pianist Jamie Cullum set to take to the stage at Balaia Golf Village in Albufeira on 22 August.

American jazz star Dianne Reeves will perform at the Portimao Municipal Theatre on 16 May, while Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi is set to visit Alcoutim River Quay on 3 July.

People planning to absorb some local culture during their holiday in the Algarve can visit events such as the Al'Buhera Festival, which will take place in Albufeira from 21 to 25 July.
