The cultural initiative will bring a number of stars from the music world to southern Portugal, including American jazz singer Dianne Reeves, who will take to the stage at the Portimao Municipal Theatre on May 16th.

Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi will entertain fans at the Alcoutim River Quay on July 3rd, while British star Jamie Cullum will perform at the Balaia Golf Village in Albufeira on August 22nd.

People who prefer sport to music will also have a wide range of events to choose from in the Algarve this year, with the Vodafone Rally of Portugal set to be held throughout the region between May 27th and 30th.

The Portugal Masters tournament will be contested at the Oceanico Victoria Golf Club in Vilamoura from October 14th to 17th.

Other highlights of the Allgarve '10 season include the Al'Buhera Festival (July 21st to 25th) and the Silves Medieval Festival (August 7th to 15th).
