One of the most popular events on the ATP Champions Tour will return to the Algarve in southern Portugal this year.

Tennis fans will be able to see the Vale do Lobo Grand Champions tournament from 10 to 13 August.

Matches are played on outdoor courts at the Vale do Lobo resort, which is located just 20 minutes from Faro airport and is one of the most popular locations on the ATP Champions Tour, according to organisers of the event.

This year, spectators will be able to see Greg Rusedski defending the title he won in 2009.

John McEnroe, Jim Courier and Michael Stich are among the other tennis stars who have been victorious at the Vale do Lobo Grand Champions tournament since it began in 2002.

The ATP Champions Tour will also feature a meeting in Graz, Austria between 4 and 8 August this year, as well as events in Knokke, Belgium (20-22 August) and Paris, France (30 September-3 October).
