Together with Austrian born Vila Joya chef Dieter Koschina, 12 Michelin star chefs will provide a gastronomic week at the luxury resort to celebrate the life of its founder Claudia Jung.
Among the chefs invited to take part this year are Germans Joaquim Koerper from the Eleven restaurant in Lisbon, Torsten Schultz from restaurant São Gabriel in Almancil and Willie Wurger from Willie’s in Vilamoura. French chefs Vincent Farge from Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho and Benoit Sinthon, from restaurante Il Gallo d’Oro, in Funchal, Austrians Siegfried Danler-Heinemann from Amadeus restaurant in Almancil and Hans Neumer from The Ocean at Hotel Vila Vita Parc; Brazilian chef Henrique Leis; Portuguese chefs José Avillez, Albano Lourenço and Vítor Matos will also be present, among others.
Throughout the festival, one or more of the chefs will take it in turn to create a meal each night.
