Live music from the traditional ‘Munchner Musikanten Hofbrauhaus' from 5pm until midnight will entertain whilst the best German food in the Algarve will be served from an extensive and reasonably priced menu. It promises to be a night full of Bavarian charm.
Vila Vita is proud to supply the authentic German beer, Paulaner, and you must try the very special wheat beer. The Biergarten also supplies wines from its famous sister estate Herdade dos Grous in Alentejo.
The Vila Vita Biergarten is open from Wednesday to Saturday, between 5pm and midnight, and Sundays from 12 midday to midnight, and serves German beer from the famous Munich brewery Paulaner, homemade sausages from the hotel’s own butcher Thomas Weber, and other German delights including schnitzel, herring, pretzels, potato salad, knuckle of pork and apple strudel.
The Biergarten seats around 100 people inside, on two floors, and a further 200 outside in the extensive gardens. Authentic touches include waiting staff in traditional costumes, long benches, vivid murals featuring scenes from Bavarian life, and a colourful maypole.
As well as being open to hotel residents and non-residents alike, the Vila Vita Biergarten can also be booked for groups and private events.
Part of the Biergarten is given over to Thomas Weber’s new butchers’ shop, or Metzgerei. The previous, much smaller shop was once one of the best-kept secrets in the Algarve, hardly known outside of the region’s German community, but the new shop has extended its opening hours from Tuesdays to Fridays, from 3 to 6pm, and in addition to homemade German sausages, will also be serving other prime cuts of meat, including beef and pork from Vila Vita Parc’s own Alentejo estate, Herdade dos Grous.
